John Sanger

John is an entrepreneurial leader with over 25 years’ experience in business operations, strategy and transformation with a strong track record in driving growth, improving business efficiencies, operational leadership, M&A and business innovation.

Prior to joining AFG, John was the Head of Strategy, Transformation & Operations for Optus Business for five years. In this role, John developed strategy, defined and executed the transformation agenda including information technology and ran the business operations.

John brings broad business experience to AFG. As COO, he is accountable for the leadership of operational functions including Marketing, Operations, Client & Broker Services and IT functions. John is passionate about leading a great team in the delivery of the best customer and broker experience.

Chris Slater
General Manager
AFG Home Loans

Chris joined AFG in 2007 as National Account Manager, moving in 2008 to State Manager for NSW and ACT, then on to Head of Sales for AFG Home Loans, AFG’s own loan division, and was appointed as the General Manager of AFG Home Loans in 2015.

Prior to joining AFG Chris worked for a number of key finance and banking companies, and before this worked in the media industry as a media manager and journalist.

She has worked in roles for McKinsey, Accenture and Westpac, and as a consultant with a raft of clients including CBA, Macquarie, Citi and NAB to name a few. She is passionate about engaging clients and helping people be more present, connected and effective in order to tap their potential and bring their best.
